In 2016 the Taste.com.au app relaunched, shifting from an upfront, one time payment to a subscription service. This shift in payment model saw a number of negative reviews in the App Store. To combat this, Taste.com.au decided to create a free trial of the app, to allow users to ‘try before they by’. As part of this, I was tasked with re-designing the onboarding experience.
The objective was twofold: Give new users a brief overview of all the apps features, while reassuring those switching from the previous version of the Taste.com.au app that their experience would be an improved one.
